Sunday, May 19th is no time to “hold your horses”!
The Gras Savoye Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris, to be held this Sunday from 11.45am at Auteuil Racecourse, is France’s most prestigious and spectacular jumps race of the year – and this comes straight from the horse’s mouth!
“A spectacle like no other, where courage and naked strength work together in a quest for glory”, the Gras Savoye Steeple-Chase is an intense and thrilling race intended to be the French equivalent of Britain’s famous Grand National.
Running from 1874 onwards and called “The Everest of Jumps Races”, this spectacular event is one of the longest existing jumps races and boasts 23 expressly challenging obstacles, which will make you hold your breath.
“Admire the horses’ rippling muscles. Gasp as they leap through the air. Hear the thunder of hooves as they storm past the stands. Seven short minutes is all it takes to earn a place in racing legend.”
Horse sense tells us that the 135th edition of the Gras Savoye is not an event to be missed!
So, if you want to witness this breathtaking race and get an answer to the question “Who will be the next Champion?”, you’d better get on your horses – the big day is just around the corner!
