An-Old-PartitionWe’ve read much about Paris’ artistic biography, and now we can listen to its musical geography.

Originally created to complement an exhibition held in Paris in 2012, an interactive online map highlights the lyrical whereabouts of more than 200 songs having Paris as a theme.

A celebration of the city’s rich musical heritage, the map tells the story of a lost Paris, a dream city which now continues to exists only in melody.

With its oldest entry dating from 1870 (and honoring the Saint Jacques tower), this fun tool allows you to explore specific districts of the city through the musical footprints artists of former times have left behind.

Forget about your Navigo pass. Now you can travel through Paris one song at a time…
