That’s right! It exists!
The world’s only travelling museum for “undiscovered, unintentional and untrained artists from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries” is now in Paris!
Since 2009 over 350 000 people have visited the installations of The Museum of Everything in London, Turin and Moscow. The project proved to be a sensation, attracting 35 000 visitors and widespread critical acclaim.
In 2012, The Museum of Everything was invited to present the project in Paris at Chalet Society, a radical new art space helmed by Mac-Olivier Wahler, former director and chief curator of Palais du Tokyo.
Exhibition #1 (currently on display in Paris) features over 500 works by self-taught, visionary, outsider artists. It is an expanded version of the original show, featuring many additional artists and presented inside the crumbling architecture of a 100-year-old Catholic school in the heart of St Germain. The place is really spectacular with its singular atmosphere and is as interesting to be explored as the exhibition itself!
